Cienfuegos & Trinidad Day Tour

Visiting Cienfuegos and Trinidad will be undoubtedly an unforgettable opportunity to admire two special places in one day. Cienfuegos is a unique city filled with the french style and charm since it’s foundation in 1819. With a beautiful park and theatre, it will a very good stop on our way to Trinidad. The city was founded in 1514 and since then time stopped, even today it shows it has kept the original enchantment. Surrounded by mountains and full of horse driven carriages all over, you will feel like being back in the colonial time. Departure time should be around 6:30am to 7:00am

Drive to Cienfuegos through farmers’ villages, valleys and plantations of sugar cane, bananas, citrus fruits, etc. Stop for drinks and pictures of nice landscapes when possible.

Visit Cienfuegos

The main attraction in Cienfuegos is the boulevard and definitely the central park with its unique French style. Is the only one in Cuba with that influence. We can also visit the ­Tomas Terry theater and the Jagua Hotel at the end of the Prado avenue.

Other points of interest are Purísima Concepcion Cathedral, Ferrer´s Palace, former City Hall, Marti Park, the Triumphal Arch.
Free time to walk along the Boulevard.

Visit Punta Gorda

Visit to Punta Gorda (the aristocratic quarter of the city in the early 1900´s), Valle´s Palace and Hotel Jagua.

Drive to Trinidad and Lunch break

Drive to Trinidad bordering the Caribbean Sea with an exclusive panoramic view of the Guamuaya Mountain Range.

We can have lunch at a restaurant in Trinidad (not included).

Visit Trinidad

The 500 years old Trinidad is like a small version of Havana, but better taken care of.  Option to visit the Valle de los Ingenios, the Plaza Colonial or colonial square. Even a walk down the streets of Trinidad is a gift, as even the paving stones ageing back to the colonial era are still unchanged. There are several museums that show the history of the city. If you want to discover the city and more yourself, you can take a horse ride around the city and get in touch with the local people.
